2018 Third Quarter Membership Luncheon
Guest speaker: Jeremy Hendges
Chief Deputy Director, Michigan Department of Talent & Economic Development
Join us for our third quarter membership lunch as we explore the Marshall Plan for Talent, a partnership between educators and employers to transform Michigan's talent pipeline and the manner in which we invest, develop and attract talent in our state. Michigan will have more than 811,000 career openings to fill through 2024 in fields that are facing talent shortage, such as information technology, healthcare, manufacturing and professional trades, with an average salary of over $60,000 per year. The Marshall Plan will invest $100 million over five years to revolutionize our talent and education system, including developing career exploration for students and fostering business and education collaboration. Learn more about how the state is stepping up and how you can be part of it. We will also present the prestigious Member of the Quarter award.
