Midland Fresh is a mobile farm stand developed by Midland County Hunger Connections, a collaborative designed to reduce barriers for 30% of Midland County residents who are food insecure. Midland Fresh is an innovative solution to overcoming the transportation barriers to access healthy food. Serving people where they live, this collaboration brings fresh produce directly to neighborhoods across the City of Midland and Midland County on a weekly basis. “Healthy Food. Healthy Eating. Healthy Community.” All produce for Midland Fresh is supplied by three volunteer maintained community gardens (Midland Nazarene, Messiah and Memorial Presbyterian) and community partner organizations. A special thank you to sponsors including The Dow Chemical Company, Lowe’s and Bonnie Plants, as well as Midland Nazarene, Memorial Presbyterian and Messiah Lutheran for providing land for the gardens.
