A community volunteer project since 1989!

Midland Blooms gives meaning to the word springtime in Midland. The planting event is usually scheduled for the Saturday before Memorial Day weekend. The warm weather comes and goes, but the blooming flowers along the streets of Midland leave a lasting impression.

The project, which plants a 2-½ miles route (a total of five miles of planting space) along Eastman Avenue, requires approximately 60 planting teams, with 8-10 people in each group. Businesses or organizations may adopt a section along the route, which is assigned on a first-come first-serve basis.

The most rewarding aspect of Midland Blooms is the community feeling of 500+ volunteers from area businesses, organizations, churches, clubs, scout troops, families and neighborhoods working together. Midland Blooms is more than pretty flowers. It is also a fine example of many, many individuals getting involved to make a difference in our community.

Donations to this community beautification project may be made to the Midland Area Chamber Foundation, 300 Rodd Street, Suite 101, Midland, MI 48640. The MAC Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and your donations are tax deductible.
