Job Description
Northwood University seeks a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a strong record of teaching at the undergraduate level to begin teaching in the Fall 2019 semester at our Midland, Michigan campus.  The candidate will be hired with the rank of assistant professor.  The university offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in business.

Candidate will be expected to teach a variety of undergraduate Management courses.  Preference will be given to candidates with substantial and specialized professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Automotive Aftermarket Management
  • Automotive Management
  • Cybersecurity and/or Information Security
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Franchising Management
  • Health Care Management
  • International Business
  • Management Information Systems
  • Operations and Supply Chain Management

Additional responsibilities and expectations may include participation in ongoing curriculum planning and review; research and scholarly activities; professional/instructional development; university committee activities; recruitment and retention activities; and other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications: 
  • Earned Doctorate in Management or closely related field from accredited institution (Ph.D. ,  DBA, D.M. considered;  ABD candidates considered if completion date is within one year of hire)
  • Experience teaching undergraduate Management courses
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry managerial experience
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills in a variety of delivery formats
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide and diverse range of students and colleagues
