Job Description
Accountant will oversee day to day function of the business office providing leadership, supervision, and direction in the area of student accounts receivable.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile general accounts
  • Process journal entries
  • Verify Post financial aid
  • Calculate and process refunds
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and Department of Education regulations
  • Collection of delinquent accounts
  • Provide resources for student and parent needs
  • Manage student receivables
  • General accounting duties within Accounting Department
 
Expectations:
  • Establish strong working relationship between financial aid and registrar offices
  • Meet required deadlines
  • Role Leader
  • Running an efficient, well-supervised office
 
Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • Thorough understanding of financial aid and student record regulations
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
  • Proven supervisory success
  • Preferred working knowledge of Ellucian’s Colleague System
  • Critical thinking and decision making abilities
