Rep. Glenn represents the 98th House district comprised of the city of Midland and six surrounding townships in Midland County, plus the cities of Auburn, Linwood, and Pinconning and seven surrounding townships in Bay County. He serves as vice chairman of the House Energy Committee and also on the House Commerce and Trade Committee, the Tax Policy Committee, and the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. Glenn served eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves and Army National Guard, including with the 1460th Transportation Co. headquartered in Midland. A former School Choice project director for the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, he led the effort that won passage of a Right to Work law in Idaho in 1985 and in 2011 was a founding board member of the Michigan Freedom to Work coalition which launched the successful to enact the same law in Michigan. A former two-term county commissioner, he authored the first Health Savings Account-based health insurance plan for county employees in the nation in 1995. Gary and his wife Annette reside in Larkin Township and have five children and four grandchildren.
