Chippewa Nature Center to Host Summer Exploration Day starting June 12th thru Sept 2

Chippewa Nature Center (CNC) will host Summer Exploration Days, a free, family-friendly, hands-on event June 12 through September 2. Themed experiments, games and crafts stationed throughout the Visitor Center will highlight the unique characteristics of each ecosystem. Themes change bi-weekly, so be sure to stop back throughout the summer to explore them all! Hours are Monday-Saturday 8 am-5 pm and Sunday and holidays 12-5 pm (program not available June 25, July 9, 23, August 6, 20).    

2019 Summer Exploration Days Schedule
June 12-24                  Geology: fossil dig and pet rock free play
June 26-July 8            Plants and Fungi: mystery mushrooms and a pollination station
July 10-22                   Michigan’s Precious Few: species of special concern Guess Who? game and celebration station
July 24-Aug 5              Nature of Weather: cloud height limbo and weather yoga
Aug 7-19                     Space and the Night Sky: nocturnal animal masks and the night sky café role playing
Aug 21-Sept 2             Planet Earth: stop in to explore topics most popular with CNC visitors!
